WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT EGYPT?

The best time to visit Egypt is from October to May. It is the peak travel season – temperatures are milder though comparatively warmer than in the northern hemisphere. This is our High-Season with its two busiest periods: the Christmas/New Year period and the Easter Period, whereby hotels and cruises will put their prices up.

WHAT IS THE BEST BUDGET WAY TO TRAVEL AROUND EGYPT?

When budgeting for an Egypt tour we recommend doing it through a travel agent like ourselves – this way everything is done for you and you would have a rough idea of how much money you would need.

WHAT CAN I DO IN EGYPT?

We suggest spending a few nights in Cairo, then taking the sleeper train to Aswan, spend another two nights there while visiting Abu Simbel and the Philae temple, and maybe Kom Ombo too.

You can take a cruise down the Nile to Luxor, spend two nights visiting the valley of the kings and queens and the Karnak Temple complex.

WHEN ARE PRICES AT THEIR LOWEST TO VISIT EGYPT?

WHAT VACCINES DO I NEED BEFORE TRAVELLING TO EGYPT?

The ones recommended are yellow fever (common to most parts of Africa), tetanus and hepatitis.

WHAT ARE YOUR TRAVEL TIPS FOR EGYPT?

When touring Egypt, before leaving your hotel, we suggest letting your hotel know where you’re going – should you get lost, the hotel will be able to act on your behalf. We also suggest that you always have your hotels. Address and telephone number as you may need it if you get lost.

WHERE ARE THE BEST PLACES TO EAT IN EGYPT?

It is best to seek out a hotel chain or a well-reviewed restaurant (ask around if you can) then you can be assured to get good, clean food. The price will be worth it.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE WHEN TRAVELLING TO EGYPT?
